General information
The AEDES Group brings together a number of legal entities whose mission is to contribute to improving the quality of and access to healthcare throughout the world. With this in mind, AEDES is committed to respecting the privacy of the people with whom it collaborates or may collaborate in the course of its many projects. AEDES therefore does everything in its power to protect the confidentiality of the personal data collected (hereinafter referred to as ‘ Data ‘) and to comply both with national legislation on the collection and processing of Data and with European Regulation No. 2016/679, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter: ’ GDPR ').
This policy (hereinafter referred to as the ’ Privacy policy ‘) details the practices of AEDES with regard to the collection of personal information following simple consultation of the website http://www.aedes.be/fr/news.html (hereinafter, ’ The website ‘), or which forms part of AEDES’ relations with its clients, its partners or the experts it may call upon for specific assignments.
When you access and/or use the Site, you expressly authorise AEDES to process the Data in accordance with Belgian and European legislation on the protection of privacy and within the limits defined by the Privacy Policy.
Data collected :
The Data collected by AEDES on the basis of the Privacy Policy differ according to the type of data subject as classified below:
- Ordinary users who browse the Website without voluntarily providing any Data (hereinafter the ‘ User ') ;
- Contact persons for clients or potential clients of AEDES: Donors, International Institutions, Ministries and private client companies (hereinafter referred to as the ' Contacts Clients') ;
- The contact persons of the AEDES partners: University, Institute of Public Health, Health Care Institutes, NGOs, civil society, etc. (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Contacts Partners ') ;
- Experts or expert candidates to whom AEDES may entrust specific assignments: public health doctors, health economists, pharmacists, etc. (hereinafter referred to as the ‘ Experts').
The data processed by AEDES are as follows:
- Information collected automatically each time a User accesses the Site;
- Surname, first name, postal address, e-mail address and telephone number of Customer Contacts and Partner Contacts;
- Surname, first name, date and place of birth, nationality, marital status, postal and tax address, email address, telephone number, CV, copies of diplomas, bank details, VAT number, history of contracts and remuneration of Experts.

On what legal basis do we process your Data?
AEDES processes Users' data on the basis of its legitimate interest in the proper operation of its business and its Site.
AEDES processes the data of Partner Contacts, Client Contacts and Experts on the basis of its own legitimate interests, but also those of parties interested in establishing a possible collaboration and in the performance of a contract.
Data collection objectives
The Data are collected and processed by AEDES for the following purposes:
- The provision of services offered by AEDES, including Internet services;
- Optimising your searches when you are on our Site;
- Informing Customer Contacts about the services offered by AEDES, including prospecting for new customers;
- Informing Partner Contacts and Experts about offers of collaboration;
- Implementing joint offers with Partner Contacts;
- The establishment of a recruitment reserve of Experts ;
- Executing contracts with Customer Contacts, Partner Contacts and Experts.
Transfer of data outside the AEDES Group
The Data collected and processed by the various entities of the AEDES Group may circulate within the AEDES Group, each of the entities remaining jointly responsible for the processing.
In the future, the Data may be transferred to Oeconomia Expertise Sarl, a subsidiary of the SCRL currently being set up in Senegal; this transfer will be carried out under the appropriate guarantees through the adoption of clauses types of data protection adopted by the European Commission in accordance with the requirements of article 46 of the RGPD.
Third-party companies may also be required to handle certain Data in the course of technical services necessary for the proper performance of AEDES services. This handling is always carried out in the name and on behalf of AEDES, which assumes full responsibility, on the basis of contracts ensuring the security of your data. Thus, AEDES may transfer your Data where necessary to :
- An external IT company is responsible for ensuring the correct operation and updating of the Site;
- To external accountancy or consultancy services.
AEDES may also transfer Expert Data to its partners and customers in connection with the preparation or execution of a contract. In such cases, AEDES undertakes not to communicate the Data relating to the Expert's personal details, bank details, address, telephone number, VAT number and remuneration (except after explicit agreement).
For the rest, AEDES will not disclose your Data or transfer them to third parties unless such transfer is required by a competent judicial or administrative authority.
Your rights: Access to collected information, rectification, deletion.
You may at any time and without charge request a copy of the personal information we store in our databases. We may ask for proof of identification before granting your request. You also have the right to request that your data be corrected or deleted from our files, provided this does not make it impossible for AEDES to perform its services.
In any event, you may at any time object to the processing of your personal data by AEDES or request that such processing be restricted. When your data is processed in the context of a contract, you may also request that it be sent to you in a readable format.
Information and network security.
AEDES makes every effort to optimally protect its network against unauthorized access and to guarantee the confidentiality of your Data. Data is stored on a secure server accessible only by password, guaranteeing a high level of security.
Responsibility of the persons concerned
You are solely responsible for any information whatsoever that you communicate to AEDES. AEDES declines all responsibility in the event of damage caused by the communication by the person concerned of erroneous, incomplete or fraudulent information.
Stay informed of changes
AEDES may modify the present privacy protection policy, particularly in the event of changes in legislation. We invite you to regularly consult the present data collection policy on www.aedes.be/en/privacy. In addition, we will inform you of any content changes via our site and other frequent communication channels.
